Level 2 Award in Door Supervision

The Door Supervisor Training course uses practical real life scenario's to prepare individuals for the job and not just pass a test. After completing the Door Supervisors course and being issued with an SIA licence a Door Supervisor can work in many areas of the Security Industry from Security Guarding through to Event Security and other licensed premises. Entry Requirements
Door Supervisor
(3 days course)
There are no formal entry requirements to the Door Supervisor course, however the minimum age requirement for entry into this course is 18.
You will be asked to bring along Identification documents (drivers licence, passport) and proof of address (utility bill, bank statement etc) along with 3 passport size pictures.

The recognised SIA qualification consists of the follwoing units:
Unit 1 - Core Learning for Common Security Industry(10 Hrs)
This unit covers the following topics:
- Private Security Industry and awareness of the law.
- Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative
- Fire Safety Awareness
- Emergency Procedures
- The Private Security Industry
- Communication Skills and Customer Care
Unit 2 - Door Supervisor Specialist Module(10 Hrs)
This unit covers the following topics:
- Behavioural Standards
- Civil and Criminal Law
- Searching
- Arrest
- Drugs Awareness
- Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation
- Licensing Law
- Emergency Procedures
Unit 3 - Conflict Management for Door Supervisors(8 Hrs)
Aim: To ensure that door supervisors have the appropriate communication skills and knowledge of conflict management
This unit covers the following topics:
- Introducti on to Communication Skills and Conflict Management
- Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management
- Self Awareness
- Avoiding Conflict
- Recognising High Risk Conflict
- Resolving Conflict
- Learning from Conflict
Unit 4 - Physical Intervention Skills Module (10 Hrs)
